The trail run is set in the spectacularly picturesque district Amphoe Pakchong adjacent to the Khao Yai national parc and located around 150 km north east of Bangkok. The adventurous and hilly trail will lead each runner throughout pineapple and manioc plantations and various traditional Thai temples. The course is hilly and is compromised of 20% road and 80% trail. The 100km solo is a 2 x 50km loop, with check - points every 10km.

Race Categories The 100km Solo

This is a by application and invitation

Applications must be submitted before 1 December, 2012

To be considered for entry, runners must have experience in running long distances and are fit and healthy
-
2 laps of the 50km course
-
Runners must finish within the cut - off time of 18 hours.
The 100km Duo
-
The times of each individual runner will be added together to form the team totals "100km time."
-
Team members are not required to run together.
-
Experienced runners only, should have completed at least a marathon before.

There are two categories as male and female.

There will be regular course marking. At all track junctions there will be an arrow indicating the direction of the route as well as confirmation red-white flagging tape along the correct route and Red Glow in the Dark Sticks at night. There will also be a cross on the tracks that you should not take. There will be a distance sign every 5km. Should you get lost or find yourself off the course. Please track back to the last marker you saw.

There will be a check - points about every 10km for the 50km loop and an aid station approximately every 3.5km for all other distances. Water, electrolytes, food, toilets and first aid will be provided at all five of the check - points on the 50km loop. Runners will also have the opportunity to take advantage of the bag - drop service at each check point.
*Please note, although the necessary food and water are provided at check -points, DO NOT rely on this service alone. It is up to the athlete to ensure they can be self sufficient and prepare their own energy fuels, specific for their needs.

Runners will have the opportunity to prepare 5 bags to help support them along the race. Runners may wish to put their own energy fuels, energy drinks, fresh clothes, etc. in the bag. Each bag will be dropped off at the specified check – point.
The check-in for the bags is on Friday 1st February 2013 from 10.00 am until 7.00 pm in the athletes area close to the start and finish line . Please note that the bags must be checked-in latest on Friday 1st February 2013 at 7.00 pm. It''s NOT possible to check them in on race day.
*Please note, bags should be waterproof, marked with name and number to be dropped off at all the checkpoints. Please do not put valuable items as we can not guarantee security.

Note: There will be random gear checks throughout the event and if you are missing any one of the mandatory items you will not be allowed to continue until the item can be replaced. You will also receive a time penalty. Furthermore, there will be a check the final check - point that the runners are still carrying hydration. Runners without the necessary hydration will be disqualified.

Participants of 100km solo must be at least 18 years of age on race day.
-
Race briefing is compulsory for the 100km solo, 100km duo, and 50km solo. Sign in sheets need to be filed out
.

You must stay on the marked course. Short cuts are not permitted. If you get lost, return to the last sighted marking.
-
Outside assistance is only permitted at the checkpoints.
-
Your race number must be visible at the front at all times.
-
You must insure you check in with the Chip Check and every checkpoint, to record your time.
-
If you choose to withdraw from the event, you must sign the withdrawal form at the closest checkpoint.
-
If you need First Aid help on the course, you must use the phone numbers on your participant Emergencies Instructions Card to contact event organizers who will arrange to retrieve you.
-
Support crews are not allowed on the event course at any time. This can lead to disqualification of the athlete.
-
You must carry the mandatory gear at all times during the event. Random gear checks may be performed during the entire event. Failure to comply can lead to a time penalty or to disqualification based on the severity of the breach.
-
There will be a check at the final check - point that the runners are still carrying hydration. Runners without the necessary hydration will be disqualified.

You must obey all directions from marshals and the race organizer.
-
Littering is prohibited.
-
Breaking any of the rules may incur a time penalty or disqualification. Any such penalties are at the organizers'' direction and are final.

Participant should be in a good health and engage regularly in running activities prior to competition. Trail running is conducted on multi-terrain so it is important for participants to be experienced at running off road. Furthermore, self sufficiency is an important factor; participants should be at competent in attending basic first aid on themselves in case of emergency. Runners suffering from the following conditions will not be allowed to participate.
